The Miura is a beautiful thing to behold, and it may be the car from my birth year (1970) that I'd like to drive, sit in and look at, but the reality is that if the car fairy appeared and gave me one today, I'd drive it a few times and then sell it. I don't have any business owning a car like that. I'd be way better off selling it, and having the million plus dollars in the bank. So, for me that is not the best car (for me) from my birth year.

Local CL only has a collection of Novas, Chevelles and pick up trucks from 1970. Sure there may be a few aircooled VWs or an MGB thrown in there, but for the most part, I still don't really know what car from my birth year I'd actually want to own. I think I'd like a 1970 BMW 200tii or a 2800CS.

Even though a quick search of cars produced in '68 reveal this little gem, the Bandini Saloncino.

1960 is a pretty lame year, really. I suppose a Ferrari 250 would be the smart choice, but I left my multi million dollar credit line in another life.

I could stretch the definition, and go for a 61 bubble top Impala with a 409, since they had to have some screwed together by late August... The 60's are just too damn wingy.

Since the F40, Delta HF integrale, Supra turbo, Supercharched MR-2, Sierra Cosworth, and 959 were already mentioned, i'll have to go with one of these:

80's had some good stuff! I could add plenty to the list for 1988, too

There's a meme floating around FB right now: I'm 40 but still feel like I'm so. Until I hang out with some 20 year olds. Then I'm like no, never mind. I'm 40...

I know that feeling with the BMW members I have met. Most are young and have scared away most of the 40+ crowd. I try to stick with it when I can but really feel out of place most of the time.
