Pretty straight forward, what is the best street car chassis of the 90's for a DD, occasional HPDE and/or autocross.

Go

Just remember we are talking about chassis, not the complete car. So drive train reliability is not a factor

FD has a great chassis and is an excellent driver's car. I have one. Wouldn't want to DD it though. If you can only have one car, I'd go with the C5 Vette

Awe... You guys are so cute.

And Toyota MR2 Spyder. I know it's a 2000 model but you could buy it in 99. Plus it is the best car I have ever owned.

In reply to nboyles85737:

You would be wrong. The Miata is a great little car... but it was not designed, nor is capable of kicking the apple cart over. Well, unless you call Kieth and drop some coin. The E36 is THE car of the 90's. Hands down. This stupid poster that adorns every asshat E36 owner's picture page is not wrong.

C5 coupe, non FRC. more cabin room, unbelievable chassis, reliable and cheaper to fix than the Japs and Germs.

Another FD vote with a close 2nd to the E36 M3 and 3rd for NSX all are within an earshot of one another.

I'll vote C5 and C4 (technically 80's)

Gen 4 F-body does a good good with a solid axle. SS and WS6 of course.
