Everyone else uses louver-core stuff.
Cherry bomb GP's are also perf core.

i haven't seen a nice cherry bomb yet...maybe they recently changed things up, they were always louver core, every one i've seen up to a few weeks ago

i guy brought a pair in to put on his Titan...i just shook my head, lol

I have them on 2 of my cars (one is 7 years old, one 5), and have a set of 2 on the shelf. I have never seen a louvered core in a CB. You must be thinking of something else, unless CB just started using louvered core. My son bought one for his car last week. I'll check it out.

Just checked. Perf tube.

I found my copy of Horsepower, Vol 1, and there's no mention of Cherry Bomb at all. Matter of fact, I was saddened at just how dated it turned out to be. No mention at all of reflective wave mufflers or high flow converters. Maybe it's time for Vizard to put out a fresh revision. It IS still worth reading, to get your mind into the building horsepower mindset.

& the sad part is

most converters out their labeled as high flow are actually not high flow. They have the same exact core as stock, a ceramic 400cpsi core.

real high flow converters have metallic cores that are 300cpsi.

Did you learn that from a website too?

I'll take a pic of those CB's, so you can see how wrong you are.

You can run those glasspacks the other way so that the flow isn't going INTO the louvers. Less sound attenuation, but better power, in my experience.

um, no i learned that from actually installing the stuff & know the difference between the two, unlike just about anyone else who buy "high flow" cats & they are nothing more then a standard cat. I didn't know that 2 years ago.

i'm awaiting these pictures. I've never seen personally a CB with a smooth core ( i've probably seen 25-30 of them) & their website proves that they don't make 'em with a smooth core...yet you are convinced they are smooth & CherryBomb. Are you sure you didn't buy Thrush glasspacks, & forgot? They look very similar on the outside.
