I need some GRM thought power. I'm going to sell my 1988 RX-7 convertible that has a Chevy 5.3L aluminum V8 and T56 swapped in. The car runs, but doesn't run perfectly. It needs attention from someone more knowledgeable than me when it comes to sorting out engine-swapped cars.
I'm going to ask more than $2011, thought not much more, which rules out here. I wish the old GRM classifieds still existed. That would have been the perfect spot.
Unfortunately, the V8 RX-7 forum, which would be the next logical forum to list the car, went away early last year over some sort of dispute. That leaves me scratching my head. Right now I'm thinking:
Racing Junk
LS1tech
RX-7 Club
Any other good places that you would recommend? TIA.
trade for '96 probe GT with Challenge provenance?

Man o Man he has been tempting me with this car. It's a demon that could probably be fixed with a heavy weekend of problem chasing and had for waaay less than its worth running perfectly. Lalalalalala I'm not listening to you!

I appreciate the offer, but I need to pare the fleet down.
Put it up on your local craigslist. With the CL search engines out there, someone will find it. I get calls from all over the country and from Europe whenever I list anything related to my TR8 or BMW parts. Craigslist is free. List it over and over with slightly different wording. Don't be afraid to step out of your region a little. List it in Atlanta, Philly, and Boston. Link to pictures of the car on photobucket or similar sites. GLWTS

Good point on the CL search engines. I'll list it there too.
Update on my progress -
Listed on:
- LS1tech dot com
- CL
- norotors.com
The last seems to be generating the most traffic thus far. No bites yet though, so I've dropped the price to $4500.
You should have some sort of local "racer" hangout forum.....

Unfortunately, Gainesville is pretty small when it comes to the local racing scene.
But maybe I'll try Tampa and Orlando. Not too far away and much more active tuner scene!
