yes it's a 4x innovations cage ,It did stiffen up the truck quite a bit and now I want to bring it to the back as well . step side is metal and the truck with me in it was 2800 or so . I'm not sue how it compares to the standard bed .I've only seen a bout 4 in 15 years .
