I'm trying to line up some bits for the weekend. I'm in Northern California. What's the hot ticket?
I just bought some on Amazon this week for a very reasonable price. With Prime, or expedited shipping you could have them very soon.
Summit. I had them in less than a week (when the weather was good) 10$ shipping, so make sure you plan out exactly how much you need. I didn't and ended up paying for 10$ shipping on several different orders! D'oh!
For some reason, Amazon says that they won't ship it to me. They list about 10 possible reasons why not.
AN plumbing.com has a physical store in Lawndale Caifornia. They may be your best bet for quick turn around.
I spoke to a human at Amazon once before, can't remember all the steps I went through to get there though.
I'm going local. O'Reily can send it to me in time. Amazon was cheaper, but I don't want to navigate their maze.
+1 on Summit. They ship out of Reno, so they don't charge sales tax, but the stuff arrives in the SF Bay Area in 1 day. I like Amazon for most things, but for specialty stuff like fittings it can be a real pain to search their web site for them, whereas Summit has a search/filter engine that works very well.

Make sure its actually being sold by Amazon and not a reseller using Amazon's services. That makes a difference in shipping and customer service.
Speedway carries a surprising amount of stuff and they also have ninja shipping and IIRC if you crack a certain threshold it's free.

I suspect that somehow it was categorized as dangerous or non-California compliant. Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
It's because the "A" stands for "Army" and thus it must be military equipment, so the PRC legislature banned them.
Hard to go wrong with Jegs or Summit. I've been ordering a lot of little fittings and dingles for the V8 FC project recently and they're rarely more than a 2 day turn.
