Looking to get a good tool roll (or probably a couple, for various cars) since I'm tired of just throwing everything in tool bags and looking for something a bit more organized. There are plenty of them on amazon and whatnot, but looking for input into which one (that I can actually buy, not your grandfather's old leather roll from 1923) is best? Prefer a larger-capacity one, if there are any differences.
Fire away!

This thread just reminded me that I used to carry a green canvas tool roll in my Jeep and for JY trips about a decade ago.
It was given to me, so unfortunately I don't know who made it, but I'm going to go looking for one again .That thing was very handy.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how the harbor freight rolls I have are holding up. And, if they wear out, you can just get more. It holds all of the wrenches I need in one, up to 22mm, or all of the generally needed pliers and screwdrivers.
Not answering your question, but I have found that on 2 wheels, the best solution is a small fork bag. It is much more compact than a roll or other system.

Their Yorktown tool roll looks awesome but theres little chance I'm paying $110 for a tool roll.

After looking at some of the offerings listed here, it appears that I had the Bucket Boss 70003 Wrench Roll.
I can't remember what happened to my last one, but I'm going to buy another, and a socket rack to go in the largest slot.
Harry Epstein Company in Kansas City sells a couple canvas tool rolls. Their website is worth checking out just for all the other cool tools they have. https://www.harryepstein.com

Mine is either from Bucket Boss or Duluth Trading. It’s held up fine.

It is awesome and unfortunately the price has gone up, but for a made in the USA piece that uses good quality materials I don't think it's outrageous.

there's some cool stuff on there, though not sure I want to pay that much for tool rolls that will basically be in the rally car and in the support rig and so will be getting muddy and nasty and possibly lost lol....though one of thsoe might be nice in the Porsche :)
