This time of year northbound is much cheaper than southbound for all rentls, so the timing is good.

That's a long way from me, but I think there are a few forum members in SW Florida. Hopefully someone can help you
I rented a Ram from Enterprise to tow with. It was ~80$ per day and you need about 2 days. I brought my own trailer hitch and rented a Uhaul trailer, ~60$ per day. Those were my local rates a few years back. Round it up to 300+ gas.
