We don't know what the car will be used for. If it is vintage racing, he's stuyck with a viontage engine.

If there is no restriction, I still think a vintage looking engien will best suit the car.

How about a 2.4 Ecotec with a supercharger on it? That looks about as vintage as a modern engine can these days. You can select what power you want from 200 -300 depending on the size of your wallet.
