A couple weeks ago I did my first trackday in the Miata. Finally got photos back from the photographer. I'm quite shocked at the bodyroll that the car generates, but some inside wheelspin aside it wasn't handling poorly. I wish i would have spent the extra money on plug wires, as the car suddenly started cutting out when accelerating at full throttle.

Dude, you cornered so hard your hardtop and helmet ripped off! Radical!

I did some touring laps to warm the car up, it was a nice day so i didn't want to waste it with the top on!

In other news, I look ahead!

Autox was on the speedway today. I did worse than usual due to the HP advantage of bigger cars, but boy did i have fun!

First track day in the Miata or first track day period?

First in the miata, i've gotten plenty of track time so far.

With well-designed suspension, body roll isn't necessarily bad. It does slow transient response. But it makes the car more predictable and easier to catch a slide. Also, more weight transfer means you can do more trail-braking. Also, softer suspension means you can jump berms!

I agree David, but I do feel that it is contributing to inside wheelspin with my lack of a limited slip.

Absolutely, inside wheel spin = badness
