Drive one, you will be cured.
I wonder what it would look like with just the 17 X 9's all around?
Maybe with the lowering it will look more cohesive to me......not that it looks bad.

PM or email me
I've seen pics of one on 17x9's all around, it didn't look good. I've got 2.5" adapters in the back, but a 1.75 would work. I'm thinking about switching up to a 2" to bring the rears in a half inch. The fronts are straight up right now, but I plan on installing longer studs from ARP and running a 3/8" spacer to get them flush. The bigger tires will fill out the wells more, especially up front. Once all of that is done I will see how far it needs to come down and lower appropriately.

What offset are the wheels? I was thinking about the same sizes, 9 and 10.5, for my '01, but on 1.75" spacers. I don't want them sticking past the bodywork.
Chris,
Looks good man! We need to race one of these days, where's half way that has an autocross?
Lugnut,
They are the standard 94-04 Mustang knock-off ones. They only come in the 2 sizes (17x9 and 17x10.5). I can research it, but I bought them used. Spacers and longer studs are definitely needed up front for the right look, but the will fit with no rubbing without. The rears need at least a 1.75" adapter. I went with the 2.5 trying to get it "flush". I may try the 2" as I think a slight tuck in the back would look better. As an aside, if you use a 1.75" adapter in the back you can fit a 12" wheel in the back with no rubbing and have it inside the wheel arch. That's a BIG wheel!
I like my stock wheels my P71. It has a simple/basic look to it that says just taken care of bussness. Thats just my .02
I never said I was getting rid of them
My plan is actually to put winter/snow tires on the steelies so I have something to drive in the winter. The RX-7 on Azenis doesn't do so hot and I think 285's wouldn't either.
