Looking to replace the shocks on both of my beaters and I'm heavily leaning towards Bilsteins for both. Most places from Auto Zone to countless websites have the shocks for my cars priced right around $100 each. Does anybody have any suggestions on where I might find a better price. To save money I've actually thought about going to Auto Zone and ordering them one by one (8 total) to use my loyalty card and save a few bucks.
What kind of cars are they? Bilstiens dont really seem to wear out, so if its a common car, wait until you find some in the junkyard. They usually arent really much cheaper than that though.
I've been shopping around for new shocks for my BMW, and it seems $100 a corner for Bilsteins is about the ballpark. Unless you go for the "touring class" model, which I understand are more of an OEM replacement, than a performance upgrade.

I've used shox.com a few times over the last 20 years. They are a licensed dealer for most shocks so the warranty is effective. I've had to send back a few blown Bilsteins and they were easy to work with.
i dont have any great advice for places to buy them, but keep the reciept! they (the bilstien folks) actually do honor the lifetime warranty and i am currently on my free replacement set, hassle free, from the original purchase in 1987!
