Your exact voice was going through my head as I saw that. You drove the current fan mount on the Molvo.yes

Right, I do remember that now. Keeping this thing cool is likely to be a problem.

I have a feeling that they may be forced to ditch the A/C compressor if they want a turbocharger.  Of course, someone will probably come up with a 42v alternator that fits in the space of the existing unit, and they will be able to run a remote electric compressor.

Nah.

But I do wholeheartedly agree.  With a 300bhp engine, that little unshrouded fan is NOT going to cut it, even assuming the air had somewhere to go after it left the fan!  Wouldn't doubt if the air would preferentially run back forward through the left side of the radiator.  It's a shame they haven't any room for a pusher fan in front on that side, if not for direct airflow but to act as a kind of check valve to keep the air moving in the correct direction.  I had to do that once.

They'll probably engineer a remote drive for the fan set-up they choose. It would be natural.

If they can't make the a/c compressor fit under the hood, they'll just run another flex drive cable and stick it in the back seat behind a speaker or something.  smiley
