I've bought a Jeep J20 (360/727/205/D44/D60), a Torker Intake & AFB Competition carb, a complete running AMC/Jeep 401 4-Bbl with a Torker, another 727TF trans with 205 transfer case, and 2 1981 Porsche 928's with missing roofs.
This morning.
Praise be to the Flying Spaghetti Monster that it wasn't with my money and none of it is coming to my house. Unfortunately I now have to do something with 2 roofless, non-running Porsche 928's. Top Gear Clarkson 7 3/4 coffee table comes to mind, but that's about it.
How do I get into these situations?
you could donate the 2 matching porsches to car warriors. that way i can get sick to my stomach some more and lose some beer gut!

Love me some FSJ (full size jeep)!
Here's a picture of the one my dad and I had:
(worked over Mopar 400 B-block, 727, 1-ton axles...)
Where's the picture of the J20 or it didn't happen....

Wait, so 3 cars, a spare motor AND some parts? Impressive. Best I can say about CL is buying old gaming stuff and having it brought to me at work.
The J-20 is in a field, non-running. The idea is to shove the just-purchased 401/727 and a 401 from last fall into the bed of the J20 and ship the whole thing to Florida for my Dad (he builds AMC race motors and needed cores...).
Anybody do non-running car shipments? Wanna make some money?
I am trying to find a third motor to shove in the bed now...
As for the Porsche's, they were a failed race car project, then they both got half-scrapped (hence the no roofs, boy do they look odd). They are basically tubs with suspensions and drivetrains. One might be an M030 car though.
How much for the drivetrains on the 928's?

What years 928's? 4 valve or 2 valve motors?
The whole no roof thing makes me think of the two sun roof threads LOL
They are base 928 non-S's from 1981 with auto's. I am 99% sure they are SOHC as the cam covers looked like my 2.5 944.
I would definitely sell them or parts from them, but they will not be easy to pull. I would kind of like to keep a (bad) motor for furniture-making.
Depending on the location, I could pull it myself.
Kelso, WA right off of Exit #42 on I-5.
Bring tools and U-Pull-It. I will be the cheapest Porsche parts supplier on the planet.
Just an off topic question, but does your dad work on Jeep 4.0 motors? I keep kicking around the idea of a stroker for my XJ.
