So my project car came with a spare set of what I thought were Euroweaves. But I just pulled them down to clean/paint them and it turns out only two of them are BBS. The other two don't have the BBS or "Made in W Germany" stamps on them, but they do have a BMW stamp on them.
I know there were the non-BBS basketweaves for the IX, but all four of mine are ET24, so they're not IX wheels.
Was there a non-BBS 15x7 basketweave made in a 24 offset at some point? Or are all of these BBS, but just not with the stamp? There are a few subtle differences on the inner hub area, but nothing too obvious.
NOt that it really matters since I'm using them as my street/tarmac wheels on the rallycross project and don't really care what they are. I'm just curious, really.
Drop some knowledge on me....
It means they're going to explode immediately and you should probably just save the hassle and give them to me.
I believe the stylized "M" indicates Mahle manufacture.

My BMW 15X7 basketweaves (identical to yours) were made by 'Fundo'. Apparently BBS is one of a few OEM suppliers of those wheels.
The basketweaves on both my 325iX's are BBS...as mentioned, I think the deal is there were several suppliers of the OEM wheels.

15X7 E30 wheels are usually called "Euroweaves" but were an option on 88(?)+ E30's. 24 mm offset just like the basketweave 14X6.5 stock wheels. There are still a few avaialble new in BMW US stock. I've got a set of Nogaro Silver Euroweaves on my 89 325is. Great wheels.

That 'm' looking thing is actually 'JWL', a Japanese wheel standard mark of approval.
Can't help OP directly, but my experience in the Volvo world has shown that the same wheel design was sourced from different manufacturers. I have two wheels, identical in looks, but one is stamped 'Germany', the other 'Norway.' The Norway wheel is noticeably heavier.

The non-BBS wheels have what looks like an ATE stamp at about 11 o'clock, which is another OEM parts manufacturer.

Huh - learn something new every day. Thanks.
Thanks - a couple quick points
The thing that says "ATE" actually says "Alu"
Both wheels have the stylized JWL.
I should weight them to see if there is any difference...
