I know it's pretty easy to mess with the programming of these via an app called Bimmertune. I've not messed with it yet.
What wheel and tire choices have folks made? I'd be very interested to hear.
I have a 2018 i3s which has the 20" wheels as well as a 1" lower stance and some other differences. Grip has not been a problem so far and I don't mind swapping wheels and tires twice a year. I got a set of base wheels with Hakkapilita snows on them, they work great in the snow but the car is even more twitchy all winter with those wheels and tires.
Has anybody played with alignment settings? Since my car sees the freeway daily and has not yet seen an autocross course I'd trade away some nimbleness for more directional stability.
These things must be at the bottom of their curve because I'm starting to see <$10k examples with 70k-100k miles in my area. It might make a lot of sense for my wife's commute taking our daughter to school and to work and back. All ~10 mile trips tops.
I like my i3s a lot as a daily driver. Light, nimble, fairly quick, what's not to like?
And I love how quiet it is, I can rip through traffic like crazy, and nobody notices because it makes no noise.
