the tranny in my Ti is doing something odd. It has been suggested that it may be low on fluid.

Side to side movement on the stick is still light and nicely balanced. Forwards or back, it is like I am pushing through heavy molassis on a cold winter day. There is no feel, and the stick will stay wherever i leave it (Unless I do not quite get it into gear and it gets kicked out)

Other than this, the trans shifts fine, with the engine running or not, just very very heavy

By all means, check the fluid. You may also have a loose shifter bracket.

Depending on your model the shift lever is held in place by a bracket that mounts to the back of the transmission, usually with Allen screws. The shift rod coming out of the transmission attaches to the bottom of the lever. If the bracket is not tight the lever won't operate the rod properly.

IIRC it is an 8mm hex socket.

judging how trans temps seem to have no effect and the trans is not whining.. I think I will tear into the linkage and see what fell apart

Sounds like the rubber bushing in the shifter housing fell apart and its wedging against the knuckle. Sounds shifter-ish to me.
