In case you hadn't heard, NASCAR legend Bobby Allison is set to attend the BRE Reunion dinner at the Mitty.
Bobby and Peter go way back to the 1972 season of the Trans-Am 2.5 Challenge series. Bobby earned a third place finish at Laguna Seca (now Mazda Raceway) during the season.
The car has since been refreshed and was on display at the Classic Motorsports booth at the PRI show in 2009. The car will be displayed with the other original BRE cars at the 2010 Classic Motorsports Mitty.

Bobby's a great guy. He's had more trials than Job and yet he can still smile.
By the way, that photo above rules. (Thanks, Tom, for posting it.) We should have some kind of early '70s hair contest at the Mitty, too.
Wow. I had some sort of vague recollection from childhood that Bobby A road raced, but I never realized he drove a small displacement car.
And count me out of the hair contest...both my cars with A/C are down right now, and when the weather got warm enough to wind down the windows on the one I'm driving, I couldn't see.
OTOH, if there's going to be a contest, maybe I'll just wear a hat.

And didn't he run the original IROC series in a 911?
In reply to shadetree30:
The original 1974 IROC series was in 911 RSRs, IIRC. Can't remember who the drivers were that year, tho. If Bobby was invited (and he probably was), he certainly did.
