Is it just me, or do these articles seem to imply that the rear knuckles could be converted to aluminum and the front suspension converted to a-arms in a Genesis Coupe by using Genesis Sedan parts?

This aluminum knuckle looks like bolts to the exact same suspension pickup points.
Does that upper a-arm mounting capsule thing look like it basically bolts to a normal strut tower? Could I really go to the junkyard and make a Genesis Coupe aluminum double a-armed with an aluminum rear upright with basically bolt on stuff?
No idea if the unibody attachment points are the same or not, but technically that is a "multilink" suspension, rather than double a-arms. An A-arm has a single ball joint where it attaches to the upright, whereas that suspension has a pair of arms each with their own ball joint.
It's a very Audi-like suspension geometry.
Couple things, it looks like those "upper wishbone" links, the base they're mounted into on the chassis side looks like it's bolted to hard points on the chassis that the coupe doesn't have.
BUT not that you couldn't drill and reinforce the positions to make it mount to your coupe.
the other thing is the leading arms and their relation to the tie rod ends and how the tie rod ends mount relative to the centerline of the front knuckle..
what you're talking about MAY be possible.. but you'll have to go try it yourself for us to really know..
i can understand how you feel.. i'm looking at the photos you posted and yeah... i really do wonder myself..
FWIW, I have seen Mustangs converted from strut to wishbones.

Not only that, but it looks like there isn't nearly as much room for the arms in the front strut tower.
I mean "techncally" they are the same shared chassis.... so I'd be surprised if there wasn't a ton of cross over between the sedan and coupe.
It looks to me almost like there is a cast aluminum upper strut mount cap. with integrated A-arm mounts. Interesting.
Just got the Gen Coupe home yesterday. I'm not thrilled with the condition of the rear subframe or the bushings either. Looks like I'm about to find out definitively on the aluminum knuckles real soon!
The front is interesting. I will almost certainly swap to aluminum on the lower control arms, though I haven't decided on the integrated control arm/strut thingy up top. It looks like I'd have to cut the stock towers a bit. I'm also not sure I'd be able to get springs and shocks off the shelf for a sedan setup like I can for the Coupe setup. Need to think/investigate this a little more.

I want to say that Griggs and Agent 47 both offered kits for various models of Mustang, but they weren't cheap.
