So I took the plunge and bought my first ever NEW car. It is not used, it has not been owned previous to me. It was the best deal, better than a used car. Not sure what if any changes I will do to the car. Right now it is drive it and enjoy it. First Impressions are positive. It feels big to me, I guess anything would after driving a MINI Cooper for 5 years. I am impressed with the sound, torque and power this car has. It runs smooth and burbles nicely. Are you ready to know what it is.
I did it. Bought a 2019 Elantra GT N.
Nice! Manual or auto? What else did you consider when purchasing/test driving? I find myself liking a lot of Hyundai/Kia products lately...
Lots of Hyundai love around these parts lately, congrats!
Thanks. It is a 6sp Manual, last one they had on the lot.
Other than the Hyunadai, I tested Golf GTI, Audi A4 S-Line, Fiat 500 and none of them really did it for me in terms of price, features and performance. A couple, the GTI and Audi had the performance and features, but priced themselves out of the running and even though the MINI was small, the Fiat was TINY!
I wanted to try the Kia Stinger, but there were none in my area.
Kia from what I have seen and experienced have come a long way. I tried a 2016 and it felt nothing like this 2019. Could have been the package I tested.
First thing I need/want to do is get the front end covered with the clear bra they have. Protect it from rock chips and rust. Speaking of rust as I am in the rust belt, I will need to get it coated with the Crown Rust Proofing.
Congratulations. Good color.
