I have an adjustable bias box brake system in my car. I purchased one of those longacre dual pressure gauges to monitor what's actually going to the front/rear. I'll be T-ing into the front and rear lines and maybe converting to AN fittings so I can make flexible hydraulic lines to go through bulkhead to the gauges, this should be ok right? The gauges have a bleed nipple but would it be better if the bleed nipple was removed and the line plumbed through the gauge so not running dead head against gauge? This might be easier to bleed? Rear of gauge....

I don't think you'd notice a difference between recommended plumbing and your suggested plumbing.

Pressure within a closed system is going to read the same no matter where or how you install the gauge. The only differences will be on force exerted on a surface like a brake piston, and thats determined by pressure in square inches times the surface area of the piston its pushing or being pushed by.

I'm not 100% following but envisioning two scenarios. Are you: 1) Completely eliminating the gauge tee and bleeder and running a line to the gauge from the rest of the system? or 2) Removing the bleeder and running the brake system up to the gauge then back down to the calipers?

Option 1) is going to leave an air bubble at the gauge and you're going to have to crack the line to get it out. I've had hydraulic light switches that would hold air bubbles and prevent the system from completely bleeding - had to either bleed from the switch or position the gauge down.

Option 2) seems more complicated than just using the tees and bleeders that are included with the gauges.

I'm suggesting plumbing through the gauge to the respective calipers not teeing off an existing line to the gauge.

I'm building this from scratch so there are no existing lines hence my suggestion

Option 2 it is. Thanks
