so a while back i had a brake bleeding issue with the vette, which i decided to buy one of those nifty (grm advertiser no less) motive pressure bleeders.
then i picked up the cheap cougar winter car. the owner told me a shop said the master or booster was bad. i find the bad booster suspicious as there is power assist. whilst driving home from po's house i lost the LF brake line, the only hard line not replaced on the car. also, because the brakes were super squishy before line poppage, i replaced the master with a reman one. car has no ABS, just one line running from one of 4 ports on the master to each wheel.
bleed brakes with motive deal until 10 seconds of clear no air fluid comes out of each bleeder. then go in the car and push pedal some to work anything out of the master. bleed some more. the destructions that came with the master said to "bench bleed or use a pressure bleeder" - i did the latter.
here is the deal. i drive car. first pump is weak, second is decent, third will throw you through the windshield and lock them up. do i just need to bleed more? i got lots of clean fluid and no air. i have never had an issue with brakes until the vette and cougar this year.
