So what would you replace the pads and rotors with?  The car has a bit of a tune in it. I took it to a tuner in NH and they put a safe tune in it for 93 octane. So it is in the AMG levels of HP and torque. Maybe a bit more but who is counting. I have the big AMG rotors and calipers front and rear so if size matters I think I have it covered.  The question is who's pads and rotors would you use.  Rock Auto has a complete kit for under $100 a corner.  It would be centric coated rotors and there pads.  Coated rosters are a must up here in the snow belt.   I could go to the MB dealer and use OEM. Price is not really the question here. I want good quality but don't need race car type. This car see's tripe digit speeds more than I care to admit.  So it needs a good quality set of anchors to go with the get up and go.

I would go with centric rotors and ceramic pads from rockauto. Brakes will work just fine, parts are cheap to replace, and dust will be minimal.

I use centric rotors one my 400whp race car so I am sure you can get by with them on the superyacht from light to light.

I have been using AKEBONO ceramic pads on everything and have been very happy with them.  Very low dust and good stopping power so if you can find some that fit that is what would be my recommendation.

I had a CLS63 with performance package and I couldn't have been happier than with the OEM pads.  They were made by Pagid, and were amazing.  I put a fresh set on at 95k miles, then proceeded to do a track weekend, then One Lap, then another track night, and then another 50k miles of street driving and they still had some life when I sold the car to a friend, who still hasn't changed them.  Dust wasn't bad, no squeaks, and no fade even when stopping that heavy ballistic beast on track.

I usually get brake parts from Rock Auto.  I have had excellent luck with Centric and PowerStop rotors.  I put Powerstops on my F150 and abused them for three years towing up to 8000 lbs, winters, submerged in water when I launch the big boat, whatever.  They refused to rust.  Currently have Centric on my B4000 and they are doing very well with about 10k on them.

I always seem to miss the mark on pads.  The B4000 has some Centric PosiQuiet pads that were specifically advertised as ultra low dust and special shims for no noise.  Fail on both counts.  Incredibly dusty, and the front left has a squeal that just won't go away.

For my GLA45, I bought Pagid pads from Pelican Parts and the Brembo rotors from ebay for $400/front and $400/rear. The dealer wanted $2500 for pads and rotors all around.

Actually that is not where things concern me.  It is when you are sailing along on the highway and you need to stop / slow down in a hurry.  90+ MPH into off ramps that have 15MPH speed limits (and they really mean it as they can be a off camber very tight 180 deg turn) are where brakes are most important for this car.  In town light to light stuff I keep it in ECO mode and drive like an old man.  This car shines at long distances and very high speed.  It is kind of like having an jet airplane that flies at about 6" off the ground.  I have actually had people comment that it feels and sounds like you are in a jet plane when you are sailing down the highway "at speed".
