The Dart was wrecked after the challenge was completed and "Dad" went on a burnout spree.

The EVO hit a culvert after they crossed the finish line.

VW bus seemed to be a rough restore, they even had no heat in snow covered mountains.

It still has a smell of $ vs brains with $ winning out IMHO

Meh! Wrong! The final 3 were an Olds, an LS1 T/A, and an F150. The T/A took it. The second season it was a Charger, a Shelby, and something else and the Shelby took it in the most dodgy way possible. I stopped watching after ShelbyGate. I think the Avalanche was Season 2 and they made it to the final 5ish?

The Avalanche was 2nd in season 2.

Phoenix is not the place to be doing that kinda activity. The last idiot (the YOU-Tube Lambo fool doing 214 MPH on the 202) brought a ton of heat onto the entire Arizona sportscar community in the Valley.

http://jalopnik.com/5821614/bullrun-rally-driver-arrested-after-five+car-crash-including-ice+t

Caused a 5 car accident!!!!!! Come on. Did I call this or what!!!!

I hope the five other people higher some really good ambulance chasers and put this out of existence. Take the programs insurance for all it has and then go after Speed and ultimately I think FOX (they are the parent company of speed?). Maybe the other motor sports organizations that speed televises will step up and put the pressure on them in a public way to end this. I am sure NASCAR wants to be associated with this kind of thing as Speed has all but become the NASCAR channel.

I love motor sports. I/we don't need this $hit.

There is no way to scientifically prove speed. So unfortunately, no.

Wait you really don't mean that do you? Distance divided by time. Count the dotted lines and do the math. Mark a starting point in the video and a second point in the video. Measure the distance. You have the time from the video. Do the math. This is how tickets from air plains are calculated.

To me it seems to be the easiest ticket to write and the hardest to refute.

So now make sure the recording hasn't been tampered with, measure the lines over one by one, do the math and convince a a judge that beyond a doubt that this person is guilty. Now that you wasted tax dollars on this you need to explain why to your boss. There is no way this will fly in court.

Considering there is all that, you know, video evidence!

Hey Bullrun, speeding is for parking lots.

Airplane tickets are simple. Start, end, distance/ time. You're right. But they are there and stand in as witnesses in court. A if this were a video of a fatal crash, no problem. But for speeding?

I did not say it would stick. I was wondering if the ticket could be issued? Ya it will probably not stand up in court but that can be said for just about any speeding ticket. Just by showing up in court to contest it will greatly reduce the chances that you will actually get a ticket. Add in a lawyer to defend it and the chances of it sticking diminish even more. I just figured that if you have video evidence of the crime being committed they should be able to issue the ticket.

I bet they can. I believe there was a ticket written in Arizona based on the douchenozzle that recorded himself going 220mph in his Lamborghini. I couldn't find a reference for that in a couple minutes of searching though.

Edit: mostly because TV stations are idiots and allow their URLs to expire. So a link that was good a year ago isn't good any more. Dumb.

If it shouldn't stick, it shouldn't be issued. Thats crooked policing. With as many times a radar detector thread has turned into an anti-police thread, I would think most would agree with that. Not clumping you in with them, I am respectfully disagreeing.

Then you are disagreeing with your self. I was not debating / asking if the ticket would stick. I simply asked if an LEO could issue a ticket based on watching the TV show.

You are the one that seems to be taking in to account weather it will hold up in court as to weather the ticket can be issued. Two totally different things. If you want to debate all the reasons why a ticket can get tossed out of court and then apply that to if the ticket should be issued. You are debating the legal system and all the loopholes that get a huge number of guilty people out of speeding tickets. A topic worth discussing but not relevant to my original question.

Is it bad to mention that there is a BullRun rally (where this accident happened) and the BullRun TV show the arent the same thing.
