I'm in Indiana so no inspections/emissions testing so thats no problem. It will still have most the interior in it and windshield will stay in so the VIN will be present as it was stock. I think ill go get it registered with the body and everything still on and just deal with the problem if it comes ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/cool-18.png)
worse case i'll end up having to get it titled as a custom car which i dont think is to hard to do in Indiana anyways, I see quite a few street legal buggys on the road that have questionable integrity
I keep thinking of doing this approach on an Imprezza or WRX. You've got 140 to 220 HP stock while losing 1000+ lbs. and lowering the cg. Buy a cosmetic fixer and a bunch of tubing and make a real fast buggy for a couple of grand. Furthermore, the AWD strikes me as a logical coupling with the whole exo/buggy/rail concept.

exactly, plus the body panels you sell off basically pay for the tubing, its like it wants to be made into a buggy!
this ideas been keepin me up at night. any of these still around?
