Cadillac today unveiled the liveries for its three-car prototype lineup ahead of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, January 26-29.
Each car–dubbed the “V-LMDh”–wears a livery design inspired by the Cadillac V-Series logo:
Cadillac Racing will be competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the No. 01 Cadillac Racing and No. 31 Whelen Engineering V-LMDh cars and in the FIA World Endurance Championship …

Clean yet not simple. (And I mean that in a good way.)
So someone threw a can of paint in the air and the car drove through it?
The Cadillacs are arguably the best looking of all the new prototypes. Though it's hard to see all the nice form development in dark colors. Someone do a silver-based livery, please...
I like the "same livery done in different colors" idea and I think they look nice but, I am left to wonder why the red car got a white roof. Its not that the red roof in itself looks bad. That white might have looked good on all of them. Or, a red roof might have looked good for the red car. It's the inconsistency that confuses me.

The red one is a Whelen Engineering entry. Probably something to do with that.
I like the white roof. My dad painted the roof white on most of his pickups and the 53 Jeep station wagon he had. None of them had a/c and we lived in Florida....

No doubt Cadillac was influenced by your dad's color scheme on the '53 Jeep wagon!
I like the schemes, especially the "Gold" one. It should really stand out from the other cars.
A yellow Cadillac? Will the Corvettes be black this year?

And I just thought the Whelen team was anticipating a unseasonably warm 24.
What may be more interesting will be to see their colorful exterior lighting designs. LEDS have sure changed the way crews can watch their cars go by at night since i lived on pit lane.

The blue will appear less dirty at the end of 24 hours. Used to be if you had a big enough lead we would put a clean nose on for the finish pictures. Now with orchestrated close finishes that doesn't happen.

Very true as the LEDs have totally transformed the nighttime aesthetic. It's like TRON out there, and I mean that in a good way.
Remember wiring up a simple marker light for ID?
"No, we're the other car with the offset yellow fog light in the grille."
I like the blue the most.

Is black and a blue a bit of an underused colorway in motorsports?
