My RX-8 has an annoying rattle from the front right wheel whenever I go over a rough patch of road. This noise stops if I lightly ride the brakes. I believe the issues is the caliper slider pin/hole clearance is loose. I can grab the caliper and get a bit of movement out of it on the rattling side, but not on the other side. I have replaced the slider pins with new ones, but they seem just as loose as the original ones. I also got a used caliper bracket, but have not yet put it on because my old slider pins seem to wobble just as bad in the used bracket. I'm not sure what else to try. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I don't think there are clips on these pads, right? What keeps the pad from rattling, the pins?

I looked up the pads and the hardware kit on World-Pac, no clips to be seen. The pads appear to fit into the caliper frame with a set of stainless shims at each pad end. It's possible that the shims are missing.

I think I remember some shims last time I took it apart, but it has been awhile. I'll tear back into it and post back what I find. Thanks
