As you well know, the smog exemption ends at 1975. A bill has been introduced to push the exemption up to 1981. See here:

A lot of people got screwed when they pulled the rolling 30 year, Lets hope they don't do something like that again. This new law looks good, even better if they built in a rolling 'update' every 5 years or so. (1981 now, 1985 in 5 years, etc.)
