discuss.
He also owns a zo6. I have fears.
This is the car trend for people who would've covered their faces in piercings and tattoos, but can't take the pain.
Discuss what? What could we possibly discuss about that?
Maybe, that I'm glad someone is enjoying cars as a hobby and while not my taste(and potentially super dangerous) It's cool to see people in the hobby.
The amount of tire that actually touches the ground on the ZO6 is impressively small.
It's not how I'd spend my money, but at least they care about their cars. There's some pride of ownership there, along with some work.
Aesthetically, its not my taste.
Engineering and performance wise, I find it an insult, an abomination and completely dangerous at anything over a walking pace.
If you want to change their mind, have them autocross it like that, then fix the alignment and run again. show how much better it handles and how much faster it is.
He's a local and I would move 4 lanes over if I ever saw that pile on the freeway with me.
Otherwise his poor taste and building skills are non of my concern.

As long as it never leaves the garage, absolutely. Do you want to be next to it going down the interstate?

thats the back of the miata.
I watched a few videos on it. he's an amusing guy. I don't think he takes himself that serious. Watching him try and load it on a uhaul trailer was amusing. His reasoning for tire choice was a little interesting. Understands that they are expensive, and hes gonna go through them quick, "but that tread pattern is sick".
Since I enjoy cars that actually drive well vs. cars that look like a bad art project that can potentially be very dangerous on the open road, I'm not a fan. I get the whole "it's your car and your money" thing, but unless this thing was built to sit in your front yard as a strange sculpture, keep it off the damn roads.

...which isn't even on their radar. Objective data means nothing to somebody who doesn't care about objective data.
Other than the "let's hope he doesn't kill someone" angle, my only complaint is why do that to an actual Z06, except for the shock value? I don't have a lot of patience for things that are done just to piss other people off. Hopefully he used a "regular" Vette and just stuck Z06 badges on it.

This. So much this.

My guess is that's the rear end of the poor Miata.

And as a side effect, he'll still have some hint of grip, at least enough to maybe not get someone killed driving those E36 M3heaps around.

Stupid, yes. But it's not like millennials have cornered the market on that:
Is hellacamber really that much worse than these? And that's leaving out the whole lowrider thing, which started in the '70s.

It takes an hour and numerous decks of playing cards.
In reply to Duke:
But, what danger are those examples? Sure, aesthetically, they might be unpleasant, but at least they have full tread on the pavement.
Sculpture. Static sculpture.
And whoever decided sanding all the paint off a car to let it rust is the second biggest douchenozzle in the entire world.
Not sure who #1 is, but I'm leaving the top spot open, just in case.

Theresa a long list tied for first.
Must resist temptation to troll....
1st on the list would have to be the guy that killed the el Camino.
