Man, what a week and it's only Thursday.
Monday, I took the Harley to work. New suspension and the touring link make a big difference, I can ride it harder now. Get home, notice the shift lever at the gearbox is loose. No, tightening it doesn't help and you can't simply pull it off because the primary is in the way. Great. The Int3rwebz tell me it's a common problem with them and I get to choose between expensive parts and grinding in a dark place or (have someone) pull off the primary.
Tuesday, wife emails me that our Roomba vacuum clean gave up the ghost. Again. Hopefully it's only the battery, but she said it made "a funny noise" before it threw the towel.
Yesterday, the microwave at home croaked.
Today, while I'm driving to the dentist in the CRX, I try to change gears down, stepping on the clutch pedal produces a Kellogs crunchy sound and yo and behold, no berkeleying clutch. Clutch cable is fine, so the current suspect is a busted clutch disk. Anybody want a very nice, unmolested 1st gen CRX Si before I start entertaining further thoughts of VTEC-yo-B16 swaps? Obviously it will come with a brand new clutch and new clutch cable as the old one is getting a bit stiff.
Oh, and I'm almost out of functioning vehicles - the Evo has been in the shop for some time while we're trying to get the wheels powercoated (don't ask), the MR2 wants its suspension redone but I don't have the time for that either. So I'm left with the truck, the wife's cars and, err, that's it...
I really don't want to find out what Friday will bring, but I don't think it's going to be anything good.
