We ran 1.11g's on our last 2 runs.

But we did it on 4 FLAT TIRES!

We swapped them for a different tricky tire setup, and never checked the air. All 4 were under 10 PSI, the rears registered ZERO.

Thought it felt a little squirrely.

Duh.

I was running 5 in my fronts and 8 in my rears but my ride was a little...different.

They were V710's.

I've autocrossed them well over 50 PSI.

You didn't need more air pressure; you needed more POOOOWWWWWEEEEERRRRRRRrrrr

We had TONS more power. We were barely feathering it.

Couldn't put it to the road on flat tires.

In reply to NordicSaab:

Unless, of course, you meant that we needed more power to fling the tires from the rims.

That would explain how it felt on my last run. Just felt like it was just fine turning the amount it would turn and try to turn any more it would just slowly oooze outward. It was an extremely boring run. You must have tried to wrestle more out of it because your last run looked exciting.

You, no doubt, are going by memory since there can't be anything left on those sidewalls to read.

I'm pretty shocked they stayed on the rims.

They were 245's pinched onto 6" rims.

And yes, I'm going from memory.

I bet the 9 year old remembered to put air in his tires.

No doubt.

It's always the little things that get me.

One event, it was a zip tie. This time, tire inflation.

During a build, I'm pretty good at following each thing through every detail. At the track, it's different. I am more interested in the people around me than focusing on the details.

Maybe I need a checklist or something.

It's frustrating sitting a car with great potential for a top finish that ends up in the middle of the pack because of something stupid.

Sigh.

There was little to no sidewall deformation at rest and the car drove all over the property with no noticeable issues. It actually cornered really well just not "great" like we hoped. It took actually checking the pressure before it was obvious. Lol-Kumho runflats.
We did check pressure and adjust it when we put on our first wheel/tire setup, we just missed it when we bolted on the sticky staggered set-up. We even parked next to the trailer with air when we drove back to the skidpad instead of going straight back to staging. We must have meant to check pressures.

I'm not bummed because it was scary, I'm bummed because it could have done much better.
