I just installed an aftermarket radiator in my N/A FC3S. It is an OEM-style radiator with metal end caps instead of plastic and comes with two automatic transmission cooler fittings. I don't need the A/T fittings since my car is a manual. Right now the fittings are capped off with rubber vacuum caps. I haven't added any coolant yet. Will the vacuum caps be enough, or should I try something else? I have considered running a radiator hose from one fitting to the other and holding them in place with hose clamps.

Its a whole separate circuit. The vacuum caps are just there to keep dust out of the trans cooler circuit.

Yes I concur those lines do no have coolant passage at all. My 79 aftermarket radiator has the same lines. They are there just in case you have an automatic. They do this just so they don't have to make two separate radiators for auto, and manual.

Sweet, thanks for answering my n00b question.

I double-checked the FSM and it said that ATF flows through those fittings. I did not know that...
