Anyone able to do a car inspection in St. Joe, Missouri in the next two days? I'm in MI now and have family in KC but it's a little too out of the way for any of them on this short notice. Looking at a 2017 Grand Caravan minivan for a fly n drive.
This one is private party so the savings over nearby dealer is significant. They claim the cruise works intermittently. When my '08 had that problem it was a wheel speed sensor that triggered the ABS light. They say no dash lights though.
the money I save will hopefully cover that, so I'm looking for a basic once-over and to make sure it's not like cat piss encrusted.

Turns out it acts up only when hot -- sometimes.
ANNND it's ours. My folks made it up and checked it out at a very surface level, so kinda hoping for the best, but taking advantage of the cost savings to bank on fixing it if needed.
So now this has turned into a fly n drive. And hopefully this turns into a fly n drive for hire -- anyone want to drive from MO to MI and fly the other way??

It has nice new sway bar links because I was only half listening when I talked to the mechanic on the phone who was SUPPOSED TO BE EVALUATING IT FOR IF I SHOULD SCRAP IT OR NOT. SMH at least my lesson on his shop was only $100 and no more.
Isn't there a recall on the cruise thing? My 2014 got it fixed and I dont remember paying for it.

Fifth time I started it it happened to work. So now I'm using the extra key and locking it and leaving the thing running whenever I go anywhere. So far, my food has been one local Kansas City burger joint, Paul's burgers - including fries and a malt, one orange Creamsicle style dipped cone at Dairy Queen, picked up a bunch of salsa from Price chopper because I love their house brand and it's cheap, About seven Lamars Donuts that my parents brought to me when they picked me up, and now I am in Springfield at a place called Thai Basil waiting for my general Tsao's chicken. Road trips are very fattening for me. Oh and some homemade cookies from my folks too.
I'm happy to report that the battery had a bad cell and we replaced it and the cruise issue hasn't happened since then. It was dead enough to lose the time so maybe something else got reset. No available recall that I found
