Make sure you roll up to class in your green Civic. You will be loved by your (male) students.
I don't know about Georgia, but SC hires people without the usual teaching credentials if you can teach in an area of critical needs. Usually, science math, chemistry, etc. I thought about it years ago after six months of being laid off and gave up on it. Now, it doesn't look so bad as I get older. Having all summer off, two weeks at Christmas and a spring break would be sweet.
