A LX 470 came up on craigslist, in beautiful shape. Interior looks like new. Says 114k on the odometer. This one hit enough buttons that it was worth the carfax. I've never been so confused by a carfax. So this is the initial history..
That's alot of miles in a short amount of time. is that even possible? what confuses me even more, is the 30k immanence was done with 207000 miles on it...
Which leads us to this gem...
Any ideas? the car does not have 300k on it. for example, this.

Everything is sequential until 6/20/16....so you're saying every reading from 2009-2016 is wrong?
By all accounts, it definitely looks like the car has over 300k. That era of GX470/LX470 had odometer display failures. My guess is that the instrument cluster was replaced sometime in early 2016.
It would be interesting to check the assorted vin markings to see if they match the dash vin. Could be a vin tag switch where someone picked up a high mile auction car for peanuts to use to title wash a "complicated" car.
The mileage increase looks consistent over the first few years, at 30k plus or minus a few k. There are a lot of entries for there to mis-reported mileage prior to the currently reported number. My assumption would be that the mileage is truly the 300k number.
It is a lot of miles, but some folks drive quite a bit.
Looking at the pic, it looks like some of the wood grain is worn off the wheel, how doe the pedals look?

That is a great point/potential explanation. I wonder if they put a sticker on the door jamb?
I would bet it has near 300k.
Looks like it was consistantly getting 30-40k added per year most of its life.
It went to auction in TX with 292k and the buyer at that auction changed the odo to a 114k unit while moving the vehicle half way across the country.
MrJoshua is on the right track. The Carfax lists it as gold multiple times. It's not even close to gold. Stolen, or flooded? My money is on stolen.

A "30K" service is a major service done every 30K. So 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210. Sounds like the owner kept up on maintenance
I missed the comment about the car color being Gold.
I think Joshua is on to something here...
A title for a high mile, gold truck was acquired cheaply and then applied to a silver (likely stolen) truck.
Part out the high mile truck and it is a criminal enterprise.
