If you're at Carlisle Sunday please stop by and say hello and see the Busa J15, Flatshifter,Ballistic batteries and DigiDash.

Well I'm glad there are people there. Ran into some of you. Should have looked at the web earlier.
Rob, if you're there Sunday, I'll stop by. You aren't the guy with the two MGTD's on the cardboard are you?
I looked at that V12 Jag. Kinda tempting, as I've always wanted one. Today he had the hood up. That helped cure some of my temptation. Seems like a steal of a price, if it's as good as it looks to be.
Sure has been nice weather.
Nope, wasn't me with any MGTDs. Sorry.
We wrapped up around lunch time today, are staying home tomorrow. We were there representing our shop. From a show sales point of view it wasn't worth it. From a getting some people to know about the shop it was. There were several people who came by that were from our area and said they would check out our shop and let their friends know about is. If a couple of them do it was worth being up there.
We enjoyed the show and had a good time. Saw a beautiful all original (including owner) early Opel Manta there.
Kinda got an itch to find a '68 Sunbeam Alpine project and stuff a Commando spec 273 in it. I know its not practical, but at least it would be in the Mopar family and I could take it to both shows! Probably would be cheaper to buy a Jensen Interceptor...
I know of an Interceptor that needs a lot of help for around $2600. One of the problems it has is it needs a windshield, which is one of those unobtainium parts. But if you want to talk to the owner, let me know. It's in Reading, PA.
I don't need another project... I don't need another project... I don't need another project....
Boy that's cheap.
I don't need another project... I don't need another project... I don't need another project....
Finally able to add a few more comments from a real keyboard vs. a Droid...
I stopped by and talked to Chet at his booth and added some more drool for him to clean of the Busa J15. I would really love to build a street-legal B-Mod car with one of these someday.
Tim was friendly as always at the GRM/CMS tent. I picked up the old fire extinguisher bracket from the Group 44 car and added a 10 yr CSM sub to my GRM sub. That should keep me in reading material for a number of years.
The radiator in my GT6 started leaking on the drive across PA. Fortunately, one of vendors had a nice, shiney new aluminum version for sale. Compared to the other more common-car radiators he had, I'm betting the GT6 version was the last one he expected to sell. But it's the one I needed.
It was fun talking to foxtrapper again since I didn't see him last year.
Thanks to Andy for stopping by the NASS tent for awhile and we look forward to seeing your Spitfire next year. Your 1800 is freakin' gorgeous.
I saw a few deals out there. We >just< missed a decent Spitfire factory hardtop for $125. My g/f was PISSED about that one.... A guy was selling a set of x-weaves (325ix 15x7 wheels) for $200, but really didn't know what they were (said they were from a '95 BMW). He didn't have the caps with them, but I probably could have haggled him down on Sunday. Unfortunately, I was completely out of space in the car so there's no way I could have gotten a set of wheels home. Plus, it's not like I really need them for a car I want to sell anyway and already has a set of brand-new Star Specs..
The weather was PERFECT Thursday through Sunday. Fortunately, I used at least a bit of sunscreen so I didn't come home with arms, legs and ears looking like a lobster...
I stopped by the FFR booth hoping to see the 818, but it wasn't there. The guy I talked to said they really wanted to bring it, but there are still too many "still in design" issues and it just wasn't ready for public criticism yet.
this may be a good show. I have, however, noticed that the Spring and Fall shows (mostly muscle cars) have noticeably gone downhill since the late '90s. I attended a few weeks ago and was wholly disappointed. Not sure if it is the economy, the whole E-bay / Internet / Smartphone paradigm or what happened. I won't go back to that one
I was there with the Saabs@Carlisle group. It was a great time, as always. The worst part about the show for me is getting there. Argh.

I was kinda bummed to see only one 95 at the event - and even that was a really rusty car in the vendor area. "Really rusty" meaning it made my 1800ES look good...

There were two 95s on the showfield as well. One was a nicely preserved original red '68, identical to the one that I have in a friend's barn awaiting restoration. The other was a fully-restored Euro import '78 95. The '68 was only around for a while on Saturday, but the '78 was there throughout the weekend. I'd love to be able to bring mine one day.
To ne honest, it was so nice out and I was enjoying some time to relax I totally forgot to take many pics. I have a few, but need to find time to upload them somewhere.
Here are some photos (but source is another forum)..
re: Saab tent. What possesses the people who 'run' that thing to think we want to hear their musical selections all day? And, apparently, most of the night, according to the vendor friend who was staying there. They had the speakers pointed outside the tent. We had to shout at each other over at the Fiat row (four rows away). Conclusion: most Saab guys are Shiny Happy People and we wish they'd find another venue to play their CD collection at.
Yea, I kinda agree with you about the Saab tent/crowd. I really enjoyed listening to their auction all Saturday, not.
Seems each year they get a little louder and a little more aggressive.
There are a few other pictures from the show here: http://www.triumphexperience.com/phorum/read.php?8,739937,740125,quote=1
The auction lasted an hour.
The music sucks. Even the people who are there with them can agree with that.
I missed the Porsche one last month, and the import/kit shows. At this point in the year, I have saved hundreds in parts I shouldn't have bought in the first place.

Then can't someone tell the nitwits with the speakers to stay home? My vendor pal had to complain to Carlisle staff to get them to shut it off so he could sleep. I'm sure there were people other than myself that stayed clear of the entire display because of the music level. Unless they want to be an island unto themselves...
OTOH, I had no regret making all the "obsolete cars with no parts supply" comments to everyone I met.
In reply to ddavidv:
Yeah, I'm sure you were the exception, Powar, (your car is awesome, btw) but the SAAB crowd was surprisingly douchey. The friend I went with couldn't get over the re-badged Chevy Trailblazers on the show field. It was like they were trying to live up to the (untrue, imo) bad reputation that VW guys have.
