Cars and Coffee around GRM? At GRM? (Sunday 8/8)

We want to go to a car meet before leaving Florida on the trip in the 944 S2. Does GRM host a Cars and Coffee at the world HQ? Do you want to?

(Confused) but anyway, that could be cool. I would go!

Edit: my wife said we will bring donuts, so there's that.

Today is sunday, 8/1

I am also confused.  With more planning I'd go spend the weekend with my mama and do the cars and coffee that weekend

Next Saturday is better for us.  Might even be willing to drive the no AC Miata down.

Something about a hardtop only Miata and one window inop also.  Damn I need to get off my lazy ass and work on that car.

I'm local, and regret to say that I have never visited the GRM Mothership.

I love the idea, but next Saturday and Sunday I'll be at the Speedway for an SCCA Solo event on the kart track. Still could be possible for me, if later in the day.

I fat fingered it. Next Sunday, the 8th.

I think it's been a decade or so since we hosted our last cars & coffee, but we'd absolutely be open to doing it again in the future.

Unfortunately it won't happen this Sunday, though. A few of us will be autocrossing, and the current weather and Covid numbers in Florida mean we're not eager to host additional events. Plus, we need more than a few days to plan a good cars & coffee, and many of us get on planes to Monterey Car Week the following day.

We'll plan on hosting one a little later in the year, once the weather gets cooler.

Yup, two-day autocross at Daytona International Speedway this weekend.

Also, for those coming into Daytona, please monitor the local Covid situation.

Arrive at parking lot, roll down windows but stay in vehicles. Be quiet and wait to hear the sounds of geese and a parrot. 

Travel in that direction from the office.

And here's the one for today:

We're in Volusia County, the county just south of the one containing Palm Coast. We just topped 100 cases per 100k people. You can say that's not a lot of people, but Friday I found out that I had been around someone who tested positive even though they were vaxxed--so that meant 90 minutes out of my day to go get tested so I'd know before my wife got back into town. (She got tested at the airport before coming home and, yes, we have both been vaxxed.)

So while we love you all (no, really, we do), this might not be the best weekend for a hangout--never mind everything else going on. It is nice to be thought of, though, so thank you.

I agree with you, David. My recommendation is for everyone to do all that they can to limit exposure. 

Yeah the covid situation blew up as we were arriving...
