Ok I was wondering what cars you think look amazing in pictures but when you see them in person don't look as good. My nominations are the Audi R8 and FRS/BRZ twins.

I disagree. But then again I actually liked the Aztec.

Agreed! And that 5 series Grand Tourismo thing is a huge bloated whale in real life.
And going in the opposite direction; the Lotus Evora looks oddly proportioned in pictures, but is quite hansom in person.
In reply to HappyAndy:
The Grand Tourismo is hideous. Plain and simple. It has no business being in production. The x6 is impractical and useless too.

I didn't know that anyone actually liked the Aztek! I guess it follows the same thought process that even ugly girls get a guy eventually, right?

I think the Frisbees (FRS/BRZ) look quite nice in person .. then again, you are the one that admits to liking the Aztec. ;-)
I also think the Toybaru looks better in person. Its size relative to most bloated suckwagons on the road these days isn't conveyed in pictures.
But I also agree that the R8 looks...off in person. Not bad per se, but like something's missing. I still wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

I like it except for the drivetrain layout. If it were RWD/4WD I'd own one.
Pretty much any vehicle that prescribes to the new high belt line design looks good in the photo because they use angles to hide the proportions but when you see one in a parking lot they look like a double decker sandwich.

Which is funny, because 15 years ago, every published picture of every car was taken from an eye level of about 27" off the ground, like we were all midgets or something.

Odd, I hate the Panamera in pictures, but in person they don't look so bad to me. Head-on they almost look Corvette-ish (in a good way).

Yeah, they kind of look good sharking up through traffic.
Klayfish wrote: This thing is bad enough in pictures, but in person it's downright fugly.
I agree with this. I mean head on I am like that is kinda sharp and then I see the side view and throw up a little.
I agree. Head on, it's not bad. Even the front 3/4 view I posted isn't all that bad. But looking at it straight from the side, or a rear 3/4 view is terrible.

I must be weird as I liked the old one. But this is well. .. . I need some time alone now.
