Fox body Mustangs. I suppose owning a couple is what really turned me off. My first car was an 88 4 cylinder Mustang Convertible with an auto. No explanation needed there. My second was an 86 5.0 Capri. The interiors of those cars are horrendous.
Acura integra GSR. Then I learned what turbos was.
When I was younger I thought the coolest vehicle ever was the F150 SVT Lightning.

I've had two, a '93 and a '94. Great trucks. 
I can't really think of a car or cars that I liked when I was young and don't like now. They all had their time, and they are are snap shots of my misspent youth.

Thats not to say it wasn't awesome, it was just awesomely expensive for what it was.

20 years ago I had a vee dub kampervan. Poptop, stove, sink, 2 liter injected, the works. It turned out to be the most horrible thing I've driven. Involuntary lanechanges in any crosswind, crap mileage, slow, loud, yukky, I got rid of it asap. Thought it was a good idea at the time...Turns out I shoulda held onto it and sold it to some optimist for big bux. Oh well.

If I could have driven it more than a few feet I would have.
It's so small inside that I can't get my knee between the door and the steering wheel so I can push the clutch or release it properly. The other knee gets in the way of the gearshift.
Yes, I had the seat all the way back.

Hate to break it to you but they are pretty bad. I deal with them regularly. We have two in process right now. A monster 900lb lump up front, awful brakes, absolutely miserable ergonomics, getting in an out is painful. Compared to cars of the era I am sure they hold up ok but the first drive I had in one was when I was driving a VW golf daily and the Jag felt like a 70's truck in comparison. By the time I was daily driving the Falcon and got a healthy dose of era perspective, other cars that I was completely unimpressed with at first like a 1960 Alfa Guilia sprint started to make a lot more sense. The E-types never did.
They are not fast or good handling cars.

My dad had two Series II's, a 1969 and a 1970. I drove and worked on both of them, LOVED the things! I'm about 6 feet, they are a bit tough to get in but once inside things aren't bad at all. If driving one, you do have to think of it in the context of the times; they were most definitely much better handling than the contemporary US muscle cars.
But no the brakes aren't much. They faded pretty quick even by the standards of the times. The crazy double master cylinder/remote booster setup didn't help with pedal feel either.
The 6 banger cars are pretty well balanced. I drove a Series III V12, it was a nose heavy ill handling pig. No, thank you.

Hindsight is 20/20. Thought I made an excellent purchase replacing my ION Red Line with my Bug Eye Wagon. Can't argue that it is hands down a blast to drive in the snow and was decently reliable, but had I done some more research, I would've gone a different route.
Wish I would've looked into how badly they corrode after spending 10+ years in Michigan, how much replacement parts cost, and how awful it would do on gas in the city.
When I thought my WRX was invinceable, I "converted" a "Subi-hater" and got him to consider them. He ended up buying two Foresters within 2/3 months. An early NA AT and a 5MT XT. However, both were gone in less than a year... They both had multiple failures, including both blowing headgaskets. Needless to say, he no longer speaks to me.
When I was a kid a saw an ad for the Isuzu Rodeo and I HAD to have it (granted I was about 8 at the time). I tore out the ad and vowed to save up to buy one once I could drive. Luckily I thought better of it when the time came and got a Celica instead.
Also, I have to admit I was crushed when a lowered Civic was sold just as I was showing up to check it out. Man, someone was looking out for me on that one (ended up with an Integra instead that I drove for the next 6 years, longest I've owned any car).

Jag XJS V12. 20-30 years ago I thought they were cool. Then I got around them and found that for such a big car it is only a 2-seater. Got to drive one and the V12 rumble and torque is addicting until you have to work on it. Have a friend that has had a couple of them and loves them but got rid of them because he couldn't afford to keep them running.
