In reply to Zeitgeist:
There are supposed to be 280 cars registered for the Concours at St. Johns.

i had master cylinder issues that kept Ursula the E12 from leaving the garage on Saturday morning. Then she had half-shaft issues that got me a flat-bed ride home Saturday night with GRM Joe. :-(

Small, but some cool stuff there.

Yes it is! Running and driving!

Eric's (Bastomatic) ride. His cute 2 year old wouldn't pose for a pic with daddys car though

The guy with the Rover was cool I must have forgotten to take a pic of the other side of this old radio. It was converted to a mini bar. I complained that non of the liquire bottles were open. HE asked if I was a judge and if I needed bribing. I wasn't, but he obliged anyway and gave me a shot.

Craptacular Chevette with an awesomely 70's / 80's body kit

Pinto's

Unrestored Mercury in simply amazing condition. Check out the tartan (It's not plaid, plaid is a garment, tartan is the pattern)

Lincoln Versailles in great condition. But a sad sad point in Ford / Lincoln history. The crapiest of crappy badge engineering. A Fairmont in drag. Pictures don't do justice to how bad this is. The wheel arch 'blisters' looked like they were formed with pay-do. So very very ugly. I don't know what won the Lemon of the event, but for me it was either that Chevette above or this.

T. bird, sorry Pontiac, sorry T.Bird. A 1970 T.bird with an identity crisis. Way cool though

1968 Ultra Van. I first saw this at the dream cruise many years ago, I think I posted it here, or maybe the original board back then. Mega cool RV based on Corvair running gear with a properly engineered stressed monocoque so it's lighter than a nat's fart. My wife couldn't get over the concept of 110hp pushing something this size through the air. Tom was teasing her that all she was concerned over was the lack of power, not the inherent lack of safety in something so light with almost zero crash protection barreling down the road.

More corvair vans

This one was complete with a genuine hippy!

Not a Corvair, but fond memories, err make that 'memories' of being a kid again as my parents had a VW camper van as the only family vehicle for a number of years.

A few of the many Corviars This Holden (Don't know if it really is or if it was just in drag) was really cool. If only it had been any other color than boring old, played out, looks like crap flat black. Then it would have been mega cool. Accidental pic that is kinda cool Now that's easy access. Even room for the tool box in the engine bay. Love it.

when the first corvairs were being developed by GM (1957-ish), they were badged as Holdens in case they were caught in any spy shots. i am unaware of that name being used on any corvair after the public introduction in Oct 1959
