Hey...maybe you'll win Most Spectacular Failure!
Wyatt, When you register let them know if you are in a special class, like under $1,000 or Rookie. They really don't hunt you down to see what sub-class you could be in, you should tell them.
Thanks. I'll let someone know the moment I'm absolutely positive we're not going over half budget. Though, we'd have to suddenly spend a bunch more money without good cause to go over it.

Counting the days haven't been this excited for a race in years!
How about some more detail? Your screen name does not tell us who you are on the Entry List or what you'll be running.
You have good reason to be excited!

My guess is Chris Beach in a Neon out of Arizona?
We are definitely a rookie team. How does that even work when you have a team if you're going for Rookie of the Year?
In reply to Dusterbd13 :
Rookie team of year whether it's a one person team or a cast of thousand newbs.
Rookie here... I don’t have enough left in the car to “sell off” for half budget. Even though I’m damn close including buying a used transmission at retail.

The other neon guy. That said the neon due to a slight engine building mishap won't be making it this go around. Blair Warner bringing a VR6 powered 92 Golf.

Just got word we'll have an MX-5 RF 6-speed and an automatic Mazda 3 GT.
I'm a rookie, and my budget sheet for the Firebird says that I have currently spent $767.66.
I also am coming alone, my team mate backed out on me (due to work). I have a two bed room reserved. Anyone need a place to sleep?

The first 20 entries get a ticket to the General Tire Challenge. It looks like you guys were team number 24 to register.
There will be at least one ticket available for someone. And, I think Fuzzy registered early enough to have one. I know we will be too busy to participate in that part of the event.
GRM, you may want to establish a "be here when your number (21, 22, 23...) is called" line and protocal.

John Welsh is driving on behalf of Team Alavanche. Drag prep is more important than the general tire challenge.
Loading trailer tomorrow. Supposed to downpour sunday so I've got one shot to be ready to leave Tuesday after work
And we're in worse shape than ever. This is starting to feel a lot like a sinking ship. If we don't get it back together, running, with a working trans by the end of Saturday, I think we might be doomed!

I'm hopefully coming down early Fri AM, alone as well, no car but have been turning wrenches since '79 (I'm 47 next Sat, it's a great story) so if I make it I'll find the "drunk chicken Firebird" and help out as needed. No, I've not made sleeping arrangements yet
You'll need to log in to post.
