Well I only read to page 8. The mid engine truck was registered and insured has all street gear it will have cruse and air soon.

"Mike---hard to police. Better to just say an hour of practice " Pretty simple, put a sticker on the windshield or GRM number panel and that car gets no pros after the practice hour. If you open the hour up to 40 cars we all get 1 run, what's the point then. The pro cars get a test lap and then a pro driver? This hour should be an incentive to drive your own car. I'll supply the stickers.

So, to eliminate the pro sticker, I'll have evildky practice in my car for an hour(since he already knows how to drive his ) and get more timed runs...that will be a winner. Heck, I could even ask the Clown, he's fast and funny at the same time.

I can agree with that. Not taking away from anyones finish work, but the innovation, and fab skills far outweigh a good paintjob imo. (and im a painter) either way, i understand the reasoning behind this portion a little more this year. Even though we scored terrible, I think the grm guys- as well as the other challengers knew what was involved there.

anyway heres my input . The morning 'show&shine' similar to what bryce had in mind sounds fun. But instead of off site, we would just stay on- everyone does a pace loop around the road course, followed by a door to door lineup of all of the challengers. Panoramic shots of all of us lined up next to eachother. When the auto-x/cc day starts, my heads under the hood all day- we never get to see all of the other cars up close, both challenges ive attended. Some guys stay at other hotels, park on the other end of paddock, etc.. Right from there we have our assmbly line in order. Judges overview, scale, dyno, back to paddock ready to run. ( we'd be racing under the lights at that point, i know) But the idea of a dyno on site makes sense... 1. were all too cheap to dyno our crapcans 2.its good editorial for the magazine. I cant imagine how tough it would be to invite someone over with a portable, but what do i know. The last thing i thought of- was when the e36m3 was out there. I think it would be cool for spectators/challengers to be able to bring their street cars for exhibition, (vettes, evos, M3's) and see how well they stack up against the $20xx cars.
