Found this on craigslist. I figure it would do pretty well in the drags but would I be able to make it handle well enough to autox competitively?

If by "autox" you mean "do massive smoke-shows," then yes. Screw it. It's freaking cool and cheap. Buy it anyway.

There's been a rash of things like this popping up...

There's an 89 Ranger with a BEDCAB on it with a 302 mildly modified with shift kit, all that jazz locally for like $1200.

I don't understand how you could go wrong with something like this. Just understand that the throttle and steering are both controlled by the skinny pedal on the right, and you should be just fine!

I had a good friend that put a 350 in a 76ish nissan...down right scary!

I dont remeber if it could go left or right though
