Complain because there aren't many performance cars being made, and when they start making them, complain about them. shiny happy people.
You're talking about the GRM crowd here. A car company could come out with a car specifically for the $20XX challenge that hits all the boxes and you'd be surprised how many here would complain.

Hell, they could sell this car for $2014 and people would still complain about something, even if it included free insurance, maintenance and gas!
Chrysler put the 2.2 turbo into everything back in the day. Here's hoping for a Hellcart Dart, a Hellcat Town & Country, a Hellcat Ram Truck, a Hellcat RAM Promaster (mid engine of course) a Hellcat Durango and a Hellcat Journey.

Hahaha. You're right. For a while I thought I was the only one that noticed that, but this thread and conversations with other GRMrs tells me others have noticed as well.
I can see the post now:
"That's stoopid! Dodge is trying to force Insurance Company X down my throat by paying for it. I bet they get a kickback from them. And what the heck?!?! They'll pay for maintenance but I gotta take it to THEM!!? Screw that! I'm just gonna go buy a used Mazda3!"

I didn't click on the original link. How many of these are they making?

I don't think it said, but don't hold your hopes up of them becoming affordable any time soon. Ford were making circa 5,000 Shelby GT500's per year, and people are still asking $30k for the 2007 versions. That's for a car that stickered at $41K. So that's only a 25-30% loss in 7 years! I imagine this will be the same.

The good news? In 25 years there'll be a bunch of them (relative term) hitting the market with less than 1,000 miles on them after all the baby-boomers that buy them today and have put them in the garage have died.

Oh, I don't care how much they are going to sell for. I am not going to buy one. I wouldn't have a drivers license for very long if I had a 700 HP car. I was just curious if these were going to be limited to a certain small number of vehicles to make sure they are collectibles or if they will be more common such that it may be possible to see a modern day Mopar car off the side of the road in a lingering cloud of tire smoke at the end of a couple black lines burned into the road. Will I ever see one just driving around or will I only see them on the YouTubes?
I hate Dodge. I hate the stock Challengers and the Hellcat version didn't much improve that.
I want that like a fat boy wants cake and naked supermodels. It makes my teeth itch.
White, bronze rims, red interior. Thanks.
Totally berkin' cool! Probably will never own one, but just happy to see some company having the stones to build cars like this.
Will the Hellcats overshadow the Viper? Will anyone notice or care given the lack of Viper sales lately?
Can't wait to find a wrecked one; thinking '82 Imperial Frank Sinatra Hellcat...
Anyone get an insurance quote yet?
They still make vipers? That is like an on again off again relationship that has kind of run it's course. I haven't seen one off the race track in a while.
All I can say is damn....no wonder the Europeans call us resource hogs....hahaha I thin it would burn a gallon of gas just on my short 6 mile commute.

There's a factory Viper effort racing in IMSA this year.
Oh I know they still make them. I've sat in them. They only sold 91 in the first 2 months of the year and suspended production twice in the last 2 years.
Onevery bad ass car that is very much pushing into super car land for sure for a lot less then most of them. I like for sure.
