I'm looking for a cheap helmet. Yes yes yes I know $5 head $5 helmet. But this is for autocross and 7/10 track days. I've seen studies referenced on here showing that cheap helmets are as good or better than expensive ones.
Anyway, I recall a few months ago there were close outs on SA2005 helmets for around $50-60, now they all seem to be around $100. Anyone know somewhere with killer (price not literally!!) deals on something like a G-Force open face for the terminally cheap?
If not I’ll have to pony up a whole $100 !!!

But with the 10 year rule, you're only going to get 3 years of use out of an SA2005. Drop the cash and get a 2010.

Not all clubs follow that rule, at least around here.
