The Eaton units from Supercoupes and Bonnevilles seem to be readily available.
Or, you could buy one of those e-superchargers / boat bilge blowers from e-Bay and hope it doesn't make anything worse.
I have an Eaton blower off an older Mercedes. Nice and compact and they used an electromagnetic clutch like an A/C compressor.
Thats the good news.
The bad news is that the clutches fail pretty regularly and are expensive to replace.
If you can find one with the clutch and pulley in place, you can fix the drive plate to the pulley with some simple machine work.
^That'd be an M62 i think.
I think i'll be looking at those in the next month or two to mock up and see what clearance issues i get into. If it doesn't work, i can always just twincharge the MX6, right?
An R53 MINI supercharger might work as well. It's a bit smaller than an M62 and is designed to be side mounted, although the adapter design could be tricky. The downsides are they aren't cheap (but deals can be found) and you'll probably need an aftermarket tail plate to cover the water pump drive.
In the US, the early MR2 was offered with a Supercharger. Though pretty rare in the US, the engine found its way into other JDM fwd Toyota Corollas. I am not sure how available they would be to you where you are?
Toyota also offer an SC in the Previa Mini-van. That SC was actually bigger than the MR2/Corolla version.

Yep, SC14. Clutched, on/off switch. Good for small motors in low-boost applications.
Eaton has the compressor maps for their superchargers (both the M series and the new TVS series) posted on their website so you can pick the proper size for your application instead of guessing based on what the blower originally came on.

Freakin' Pick-n-Pull (junkyard chain) upped their prices on super chargers. They now charge $199 for a supercharger - more than they charge for a complete engine with all accessories!! The last time I bought one from them was an Eaton M62 and I paid $50. I have no idea why they jacked the price up so high.
Read it and weep:

most of the way down, Item # 322, Supercharger, $199.99 plus a $29.99 core charge. Sigh.
Oops, i was wrong, i'm paying about $55 including core.

(Turbo and superchargers are same price there.)

You suuuuuuck! Okay, not really, but it would be nice to still have prices like that.
Obviously at $199, I just won't bother buying superchargers from that yard.

I just tried to edit your post because i thought i had berkeleyed up bad.

ORLY?
Want to just start nabbing all the Toyota CT26s and M62s for me?
Sending a message your way, sir!

I have a spare that I'd sell if anyone is interested. I don't have the drive plate though. They are good to about 10psi and 14,000 rpm max. With some internal porting you can improve their efficiency.
On the M62, is there any particular orientation I have to mount them in? I'd like to adapt the brackets for my AC pump to take a roots/screw type blower and then plumb it to the stock intake manifold.
I don't want to mount it in the wrong orientation and then blow it up because the bearings don't get oil.
Oh, Turbosweede, I'm interested. Tried to send you a message but not sure if you got it.
I don't think it matters.
You might want to have a look at this, It's not entirely pertinent, but might give you some ideas.

I popped the end cover on one of my M62's and the oil reservoirs are completely sealed and shouldn't care about mounting orientation.
The air inlet is on the end away from the driven side and the outlet is along the side.
I got your message, and I'll get back to you when I'm back home this weekend.
