Do people check the meetups section? I posted in there a while back about a mid-week Lansing (Michigan, as was clarified in detail) meetup over lunch, tentatively for this Wednesday. A couple of you guys expressed interest but in general do people just not check there or is it actually not good timing?
I can't speak to your geographical crowd, but I went "there's a meetup section?"
Then I looked at it and found one or two local to me that I remember finding after it was much too late.
I think they don't get enough traffic to stay near the top if you're just checking Latest Topics...

Didn’t know there was a meet up section.
Looked... didn’t find it.
Right. It was a long time after I first got on the forum that I came across it and honestly I may have missed some Michigan meets because I’ve only checked my own post! Haha oops
And SVreX it’s called Trips, somethings and adventures
I check it routinely. How else would I get to meet such a community of depraved souls?

1) I didn't know there was a Meet-Ups section.
2) I seem to be in the GRM dead zone that is Central New York, so really no reason to check such a thing
In reply to NickD :
I've checked it a few times since I've been here but I also appear to be in a GRM dead zone. Weirdly, I never see any mention of the Chicagoland area. I'd love to go to an event around here that isn't supercars and stance or 50-60's cars sporting the latest Boyd Coddington wheels.

I’m going to be in Chicagoland the weekend of the 4-6th; I’ll post something over there also. Love to meet up with other GRMers
I live just north of Baltimore and from Harrisburg, to Delaware along rt 30 and south on 95 to Richmond is very heavy with GRMers, however getting them free schedule wise to meet up is remarkably difficult.

I've got a family wedding that weekend, but otherwise I am open to meeting up. I really hope I can make it!
I'm vaguely aware of it, I don't check it unless I'm in North America because I know there are no GRM'ers to meet up with by me

I just don't think you've been around long enough yet. I hope to have more events like this one:

I’m sitting in Harrisburg right now but the only person I’ve met out here is Curtis. I’ve met Andrew Nelson and his family but they are by York. Lots of people around if you look at the GRM map but everyone is busy, I travel all the time so I end up with a couple nights a week hanging out in some town somewhere with nothing to do.

The convention I will be there for is the second largest hot wheels convention in the states; it’s a doozie!
It's a newer section, like a month to 6 weeks old. Of course I don't check it because there's only a handful of us in the Pittsburgh area, all about an hour apart.
