So without dragging out a story, my friend has a 2010 Silverado. Unfortunately after he purchased it, he found the realistic cost of a set of tires for the 20" factory wheels, which the cheapest he found locally was $700 installed.

I suggested he look on CL for a set of used OEM 17" wheels and he could get a set of original size tires I found him at $98 each. Problem is, people want $500-$1000 for a set of factory wheels for the GMT900 trucks.

So my question is, will GMT800 truck wheels fit GMT900 trucks without issue? I'm finding them much cheaper than the newer wheels. I figured I'd find a set of factory steel wheels, but can't find any.

the wheels off my girlfriend's 64 Chevy truck will fit the studs, but probably not over the brakes. they also went to more backspacing when they came out with the new trucks in 88, but anything from then on should bolt up and fit without a problem.

i don't know where you live and why they are so expensive there, but people are practically giving away perfectly good 17" wheels off newer Chevy trucks on Facebook groups around here- $300-$400 for nice wheels with good tires on them.

North-Central Illinois. It's the land of Brodozers, they want to make back what they paid for new wheels.

I think toyota 6-lug wheels might fit. I know chevy 6-lugs fit Toyota 4x4s no problem...

Toyota an Chevy 6 lugs are the same pattern. You need to check back spacing

I know that I couldn't get a set of 16" 88-98 wheels on my '04, they wouldn't clear brakes and such. (A set 18" Nissan Titan wheels fit just fine though.) I'd bet 99+ GM should be fine, but can't say from experience. Most of the imports and aftermarket should fit as well as long as you are ok with a bigger center hole.

If I had upgraded the previous Avalanche from gmt800 to 900 brakes, the factory 16" wheels do not fit, but 17's will. So to answer the question backwards, yes they should fit.

Pre 94 Mazda trucks share the same pattern as well.
