There's a yellow suzuki aerio with black wheels down the street from the shop that always catches my eye. Dorkishly cool.

There are plenty of good handling cheap cars. Look for a DOHC Saturn... a 5-speed SL2 or SW2 for a sleeper. Neons aren't bad either.

yeah, but those have been done.. the first person to make an Aveo handle like a super car will be hailed as a hero on this dite..
There is a couple of guys that used Volkswagen GTi Coilovers on their Aveo... they look good when they are dropped on Coilovers I must say...

Not long after the Aveo appeared a dealership in Pensacola had one on display with a nice aero body kit, wheels & tires, and it had a perfect stance. It was quite impressive looking. However, I finally got around to driving one in 05 and was very dissappointed. Anything can be improved though.

If anyone gets an Aveo and puts drop springs on it i will buy the stock rear springs for FIVE AMERICAN DOLLARS (+actual shipping). They're an upgrade for my Insight..
You can make MK2/3 VW coilovers work on the Aveo.
