I am going to replace the tires on Civic soon. The car is going to have 14x6.5 Basketweaves on it. It is a DD and probably not going to see any autocrossing this year so probably something less aggressive then the Star Specs or their replacement. Right now on the 14x6 Bottlecaps I have 185/60-14. What are some decent tires that will fit?

Define decent. Wet traction? Noise? Dry traction? Wear? Awesome tread pattern? Price?
Not a ton of 14s in the first place, but "decent tires" on this forum is wide open.

I put a set of 185/60-14 Kumho Solus KR21s on my girlfriend's previous car, a '96 Sentra. Not a performance tire, but I wouldn't hesitate to get another set if the need arose. Quiet, excellent ride, fine in rain, decent enough in snow. We kept the car about another 18 months before we gave it to her dad. The Kumhos are holding up great.

Performance oriented but not going to wear out like the Star Specs.

I have just about worn out a set of 195 60 14 star specs under a 96 civic hatch.. 33K on them with a fair amount of spirited driving. They wear pretty darned well and are quite civil for all they offer I think.. Nearly extinct tire though, the new star specs are not made in 14" and Tire Rack seems to have placed a premium on the remaining stock at $125 a pop.

I have the same tire (but different size) on my Nissan truck and I have no complaints.
